This Privacy Policy explains how Clown Studio ("we", "us", "our") handles information in connection with our applications, including Dot Kolam, our internal tools, and this website.

Who we are

Clown Studio is an app development organisation based in Andhra Pradesh, India. If you have questions about this policy or our apps, see the Contact page for how to reach us.

Information we collect

Dot Kolam is a drawing tool that works entirely on your device. In its current version:

• Kolam designs you create are stored on your device only, unless you choose to export or share them yourself.
• We do not require you to create an account to use the app.
• We do not collect your name, email address, or any other personal contact details within the app.
• We do not track your location or browsing activity.

Permissions

Dot Kolam may request storage access on your device, used only to save and export the kolam designs you create so you can view, share, or print them. This permission is not used to read or collect any other files on your device.

Third-party services

Dot Kolam does not currently use any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs. The app is distributed through Google Play, which applies its own Google Play privacy practices as the platform provider.

YouTube and Google API data (Social Auto Publisher tool)

Clown Studio also operates a private, personal automation tool ("Social Auto Publisher") that uploads pre-created videos from our own Google Drive account to our own YouTube channel, and reads caption/title information from our own Google Sheet, using the YouTube Data API, Google Drive API, and Google Sheets API. This tool is for our own internal use only and is not distributed to, or used by, any other person or organisation.

• The only Google Account data accessed is our own: video files in our own Drive folder, rows in our own Google Sheet, and our own YouTube channel's upload capability.
• No data obtained through Google APIs is shared with any third party, sold, or used for advertising.
• Data obtained through Google APIs is used solely to publish our own video content to our own YouTube channel, and is not used for any other purpose.
• Locally cached video files are deleted automatically once a video finishes processing; OAuth tokens are stored only on the local device running the tool and can be revoked at any time from your Google Account permissions page.

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, because we do not collect personal data through the app in the first place.

Data retention & deletion

Content you create in Dot Kolam stays on your device until you delete it yourself or uninstall the app. Since we don't store your designs on our servers, there is nothing further for us to delete on your behalf.

Children's privacy

Dot Kolam is a general-audience creative app and is not directed specifically at children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our apps evolve. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
